Lot 23 of 104: A Safavid Qur'an, Iran, copied on 11 Rabi’ II AH 1061/3 April 1651 AD, 387ff., Arabic manuscript on paper, 11ll. of neat black naskh within orange, blue and gold rule, corrections in red, gold roundel verse markers, opening and closing bifolios profusely decorated with gold and floral polychrome, the text contained within cloudbands on a gold ground, the final page with dated colophon, in brown morocco binding with gilded and tooled medallion, folio 28 x 18cm.
